Payroll
Continuous, milestone-aware pay for people and teams — StreamLine Pro.
Payroll
Payroll is still stuck in batch thinking: semi-monthly ACH, wire delays, invoice float, and spreadsheets that pretend people earn in cliffs. Work is continuous. Pay should be continuous.
StreamLine Pro turns the stream primitive into an operations surface for companies:
- Fund a treasury
- Spin up streams per worker (or contractor)
- Let money drip as milestones clear — or as time elapses under policy
- Optionally route yield, keep amounts confidential, or borrow against live cash flow
What “programmable payroll” means
| Legacy payroll | StreamLine |
|---|---|
| Pay period batch | Per-second accrual, gasless settlement |
| Trust the platform escrow | Move shared object is the escrow |
| Hex addresses in HRIS exports | name@streamline handles |
| Opaque fees and T+N settlement | Sponsored txs; finality on Sui |
Milestones become pay periods, delivery gates, or probation cliffs. The same raise → approve → drip loop HR already understands — except the money moves while the work happens.
Pro workspace
The Pro app is built for operators:
- Onboard the company (name / brand) and connect via zkLogin or wallet.
- Treasury — hold idle USDC, invest / divest against the yield vault, withdraw when needed.
- Streams — create worker streams from treasury or wallet balance; track state from the indexer.
- Overview — live picture of outgoing cash flow without opening a bank portal.
Workers use the User app: raise completions, watch earnings tick, borrow or vault as their policy allows.
Handles at company scale
Paying design@acme energy into alice@streamline removes the hex-error tax from payroll ops. Agents and finance scripts use the same resolve path via @streamline/sdk.
Privacy for real employers
Public chain payroll is a non-starter for most companies. Pair Pro streams with confidential amounts when compensation must stay between employer and worker — explorers see that settlement occurs; they do not get a public rate card.
Where this is going
The same rail extends naturally to:
- Contractor networks and agency benches
- Grants and vesting with streaming unlocks
- Subscriptions and retainers as inverted payroll
- Cross-border teams that never touch correspondent banking for the last mile
StreamLine does not replace your GL tomorrow. It replaces the rail that makes “we’ll pay you in two weeks” feel inevitable.
